New Delhi : The number of COVID-19 patients getting cured rose to 37,80,107 in India at 8 am on September 14, 2020, an increase of 77,512 during last 24 hours, exceeding the number of active cases (9,86,598) in the country by a huge margin of 27,93,509. The number of active cases in the country is 20.36 % of the total 48,46,427 COVID-19 cases reported till date in the country including 92,071 new cases reported during last 24 hours.

Of the 48,46,427 COVID-19 cases reported till date in India, a total of 37,80,107 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 78%. The country has tested 5,72,39,428 COVID samples so far including 9,78,500 samples on September 13, 2020.

The COVID-19 death toll jumped to 79,722 in India on September 14, 2020, with 1,136 new deaths being reported from different places across the country including 416 from Maharashtra, 104 from Karnataka, 74 from Tamindau, 66 from Andhra Pradesh, 80 from UP, 58 from West Bengal, 29 from Delhi, 15 from Gujarat, 68 from Punjab, 34 from MP, and 15 from Rajasthan.  The Case Fatality Rate had dropped to 1.64% in the country on September 14, 2020, according to Union Health Ministry figure.

The COVID-19 death toll break-up in India on September 14, 2020, is : Maharashtra (29,531), Tamilnadu (8,381), Karnataka (7,265), Delhi (4,744), Andhra Pradesh (4,912), Uttar Pradesh (4,429), West Bengal (3,945), Gujarat (3,210), Madhya Pradesh (1,762), Rajasthan (1,236),  Punjab (2,356), Telengana (974), J&K (878), Haryana (975), Bihar (822), Odisha (626), Jharkhand (555), Assam (469), Uttarakhand (414), Kerala (439),  Chhattisgarh (555), Puducherry (385), Goa (290), Tripura (200), Chandigarh (93),  Andaman & Nicobar (51), Himachal Pradesh (77), Ladakh (40), Manipur (46), Nagaland (10), Meghalaya (26), Arunachal Pradesh (10), Sikkim (14), and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (2 ).
