New Delhi : A total off 75,787 COVID-19 patients were declared cured/discharged in India during last 24 hours taking the tally to 56,62,490 exceeding the number of active cases (9,19,023) by a massive margin of 47,43,467 at 8 am on October 6, 2020. The country also reported 61,267 new COVID cases during last 24 hours taking the tally to 66,85,082. The number of active cases was 13.75 % of the total COVID cases (66,85,082) reported till date in the country.
Of the 66,85,082 COVID-19 reported in the country till date, altogether 56,62,490 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 84.70%. The country has so far tested 8,10,71,797 samples including 10,89,403 samples on October 5, 2020.
The COVID-10 toll climbed to 1,03,569 on October 6, 2020, with 884 new deaths being reported during last 24 hours including 263 from Maharashtra, 62 from Tamilnadu, 84 from Karnataka, 63 from Uttar Pradesh, 61 from West Bengal, 38 from Punjab, 29 from MP, 21 from Haryana, 17 from Odisha, 38 from Andhra Pradesh, 32 from Delhi, 36 from Chhattisgarh, 13 from Gujarat, 23 from Kerala, and 14 from Rajasthan. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.55% in the country on October 6, 2020.
