New Delhi : A total of 74,632 COVID-19 patients were declared cured/discharged in India during last 24 hours taking the tally to 63,01,927 in the country at 8am on October 14, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases (8,26,876) by a massive margin of 54,75,051. The country, on the other hand, also reported 63,509 new COVID-19 cases during last 24 hours taking the tally to 72,39,389. The number of active cases was 11.42 % of the total number of COVID-19 cases (72,39,389) reported till date in the country.
Of the 72,39,389 COVID-19 cases reported till date in the country, altogether 63,01,927 patients have been declared cured withe recovery rate being 87.05%. The country has tested 9,00,90,122 samples so far including 11,45,015 samples on October 13, 2020.
The COVID-19 toll increased to 1,10,586 on October 14, 2020, with 730 new deaths being reported from different places across the country during last 24 hours including 187 from Maharashtra, 87 from Karnataka, 57 from Tamilnadu, 45 from Delhi, 35 from Andhra Pradesh. 28 from Uttar Pradesh, 62 from West Bengal, 20 from Uttarakhand, 34 from Punjab, 17 from Odisha, 20 from Chhattisgarh, 21 from Kerala, and 26 from Madhya Pradesh. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.53% in the country on October 14, 2020.
