New Delhi : The massive increase in the number of Coronavirus patients getting cured/discharged continues in India taking the tally to 34,71,783 in the country at 8 am on September 10, 2020, an increase of 72,939 during last 24 hours, exceeding the tally of active cases by a huge margin of 25,52,765.  A record 74,894 COVID-19 patients were declared cured/discharged on September 9, 2020, in India The number of active cases in the country was 9,19,018 on September 10, 2020, which is 20.58% of the total cases reported till date.

India has reported 44,65,863 COVID-19 cases till date including 95,735 new cases during last 24 hours of which 34,71,783 patients have been declared cured till date. The recovery rate of COVID-19 patients in the country was 77.24 % on September 10. India has tested 5,29,34,433 COVID-19 samples till date including 11,29,756 on September 9, 2020.

The COVID-19 death toll had jumped to 75,062 on September 10, 2020, with 1,172 new deaths being reported from different parts of the country during last 24 hours including 380 from Maharashtra, 128 from Karnataka, 74 from Andhra Pradesh, 67 from UP, 53 from West Bengal, 71 from Punjab, 31 from MP, 28 from Haryana, 20 from Delhi, and 16 from Gujarat. The Case Fatality Rate had dropped to 1.68 % in the country on September 10, 2020, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
