Sitamarhi : The Covid-19 first phase vaccination programme was inaugurated at Sitamarhi Sadar hospital by the DM Abhilasha Kumari Sharma on January 16, 2021. She said this is an important day for the county especially for Sitamarhi District.
“Thanks to the teams of doctors, research specialists, and R &D experts for delivering life saving vaccine in record time. It is a moment of pride for mankind that we are being immunised against Covid-19,” said DM Abhilasha Kumari Sharma.
Eight community health centres have been earmarked in the district for the immunisation programme. The DM said that around 5,000 vials of vaccine have arrived at centres and DDC Taranjot Singh has been made the Nodal officer.
In phase I, health care workers and frontline employees and Corona warriors would be vaccinated. Every centre has the facility for observation and post-vaccination care.
