Patna :  Bihar Entrepreneurs Association ( BEA), in collaboration with Entrepreneurs Association of India, organised a two-day Bihar Entrepreneurship Summit (BES) at Gyan Bhawan here on February 22, 2019, to facilitate dialogue between Biharis and those  involved in formulation of policies, planning, initiative and execution. The second day of BES will be hosted at Hotel Lemon Tree Premier on February 23, 2019.

The summit was jointly inaugurated by Labour Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, Building Construction Department (BCD) Minister Maheshwar Hazari, and Urban Development and Housing Department (UDHD) Minister Suresh Sharma. The summit emphasised on further development of agriculture, Food Parks, logistics parks, education hub, and IT Development Centre in the state. Entrepreneurs and policymakers discussed social-economic ecosystem in the state.

Speaking on the occasion, UDHD minister Sharma asserted that Biharis are vehicles of growth with their contributions acclaimed worldwide. He stressed on the Government and private sectors working hand in the hand for the development of the state. BCD Minister Maheshwar Hazari during urged the Bihari diaspora to contribute to the development of the state. Citing the example of China, Labour Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha said that local cottage industries need more attention.

Inaugural session was followed by pin-pointed business sessions aimed at widening the horizons of the business communities operating in the state. The sessions included discussion on the role of technology and innovation in developing Bihar with special emphasis on agriculture, health and education.

Secretary General, BEA, Abhishek Singh, apprised the audience of the efforts of the association for the uplift of marginalised sections of the society in the state.
