Sitamarhi : Altogether 676 polling booths out of total 1,776 booths in Sitamarhi parliamentary constituency (PC) have been declared critical while 651 boths have been identified as vulnerable.

Sitamarhi parliamentary constituency comprises Bathanaha, Parihar, Sursand, Bajpatti, Sitamarhi, and Runnisaidpur assembly segments. Riga and Belsand assembly constituencies of the district fall under Sheohar Parliamentary constituency, said DM cum district election officer M Ramchandrudu while talking to mediapersons on April 13, 2019. He said so far over Rs 10.86 lakh and Nepalese currency 2130857 had been seized during several raids and vehicle checking drive in the district.
Sitamarhi SP Anil Kumar said that police were keeping a close watch on Indo-Nepal border and liquor smugglers. Sitamarhi will go to polls on May 6, 2019, in the 5th phase.
