New Delhi : Altogether 62,o77 COVID-19 patients were declared cured/discharged in India during last 24 hours taking the tally to 70,78,123 at 8 am on October 25, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases (6,68,154) by a huge margin of 64,09,969. The country, on the other hand, recorded 50,129 new COVID-19 cases during last 24 hours taking the tally to 78,64,811 on October 25, 2020. The number of active cases was 8.5 % of the total cases recorded so far in the country. The drop in number of new cases as well as active cases continues.

Of the 78,64,811  COVID-19 cases reported so far in the country, a total of 70,78,123 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 90%. The country has tested 10,25,23,469 samples so far including 11,40,905 samples on October 24, 2020.

The COVID-19 toll increased to 1,18,534 in the country on October 25, 2020, with 578 new deaths being recorded during last 24 hours including 137 from Maharashtra, 59 from West Bengal, 55 from Chhattisgarh, 52 from Karnataka, 36 from Delhi, 35 from Tamilnadu, 22 from Andhra Pradesh, 25 from Kerala, 24 from Uttar Pradesh, 20 from Madhya Pradesh, 15 from Odisha, 15 from Haryana, 12 from Rajasthan, 12 from Punjab, 8 from Bihar, 6 from Gujarat, 6 from Manipur, and 5 from Uttarakhand. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.51% in the country on October 25, 2020.
