New Delhi : The number of Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients getting cured surged to 1,29,214 in India at 8 am on June 9, 2020, an increase of 5,120 in last 24 hours. In Maharashtra alone, 40,975 patients have been cured followed by 17,527 in Tamilnadu, 13.956 in Gujarat, 10,664 in Delhi, 6,536 in MP, and 6,344 in UP. The recovery rate was 48.49 % till June 8. The number of active cases in the country stands at 1,29,917.

Coronavirus death toll has jumped to 7,466 in India with 331 new deaths being reported from different parts of India during last 24 hours. Maharashtra has reported 3,169 deaths till date.

Maharashtra reported 109 new deaths during last 24 hours while Gujarat reported 31 new deaths. Delhi did not report any death during last 24 hours.
