6 persons including bridegroom in clash during marriage ceremony at Bhojpur village

Ara : Six persons including the bridegroom were injured in a clash during dinner after a marriage ceremony at village Kadara Basantpur village under Ara Muffassil police station around midnight on May 21, 2019. The injured were admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital. An FIR has been lodged with Ara Muffassil police station in this connection and police are investigating into the incident.

SHO, Ara Muffassil police station, said that marriage of Vikas Singh, son of Raj Kishor Singh, was being solemnized at Kadara Basantpur on May 21, 2019. After the marriage rituals were over, the members of Baarat party were taking dinner during which they had tiff with the villagers that took an ugly turn. Over two dozen villagers wielding traditional weapons and arms thrashed the members of the Baarat party including the bridegroom and some residents of village Bhakura and also opened fire injuring six persons. Later, the family members rushed the injured to Ara Sadar Hospital. The bridegroom Vikas Singh, and his elder brother Mithlesh Singh, received bullet injuries in the incident.
