New Delhi : A total of 56,211 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,20,95,855 cases in the country at 8 am on March 30, 2021. India had recorded 68,020 Covid-19 cases on March 29, 2021. On the positive side, 37,028 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in India during last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,13,93,021 on March 30, 2021.

The Active cases ( 5,40,720) on March 30, 2021, accounted for 4.47% of the Covid-19 cases ( 1,20, 95,855) recorded so far in the country, an increase of 18,912 cases in last 24 hours. The recovery rate (RR) of Covid-19 patients in India dropped to 94.19% on March 30, 2021, from 94.32% on March 29, 2021.

India has tested 24,26,50,025 samples so far including 7,85,864 samples on March 29, 202. Altogether 6,11,13,354 persons have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in the country so far including 5,82,919 beneficiaries on March 29, 2021, according to Union Health Ministry figure.

The Covid-19 toll climbed to 1,62,114 in India on March 30, 2021, with 271 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours including 102 in Maharashtra, 59 in Punjab, 20 in Chhattisgarh, 16 in Karnataka, 14 in Tamilnadu, 11 in Kerala, 9 in Madhya Pradesh, 8 in Gujarat, 6 in Delhi, 5 in Andhra Pradesh, 4 in Uttar Pradesh, 4 in Telengana, 2 in Haryana, and 1 in Bihar. India had recorded 291 new deaths on March 29, 2021.

The Covid-19 toll in India on March 30, 2021, was : Maharashtra (54,283), Tamilnadu (12,684), Karnataka (12,520), Delhi (11,012), Andhra Pradesh (7,210), Uttar Pradesh (8,790), West Bengal (10,325), Gujarat (4,500), Madhya Pradesh (3,967), Rajasthan (2,813), Punjab (6,749), Telengana (1,694), J&K (1,989), Haryana (3,143), Bihar (1,573), Odisha (1,921), Jharkhand (1,110), Assam (1,104), Uttarakhand (1,711), Kerala (4,590), Chhattisgarh (4,096), Puducherry (681), Goa (828), Tripura (392), Chandigarh (377), Andaman & Nicobar (62), Himachal Pradesh (1,039), Ladakh (130), Manipur (374), Nagaland (92), Meghalaya (150), Arunachal Pradesh (56), Sikkim (135), Mizoram (11), Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (2), and Lakshadweep (1).
