55 year old woman raped in Bhojpur, police yet to arrest accused

Ara : An issueless 55 year old woman was raped by a man when she was sleeping at her house under Gajrajganj Police Outpost area on March 21 night. An FIR has been lodged with Women’s Police station, Ara, but no arrest has so far been made in this connection.

SHO, Women’s police station, Madhuri Kumari said that a 55 year old woman was sleeping at her home when a person entered her house and outraged her modesty. The SHO said that police brought the woman to Sadar Hospital, Ara,where she is undergoing treatment. The SHO said that police would produce her before the court to get her statement registered under section 164 of CrPC once she recovers. The SHO said that police are investigating into the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the accused.
