New Delhi : A total of 54,440 Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients including 13,404 in Maharashtra, 7,491 in Tamilnadu, 6,169 in Gujarat, 6,267 in Delhi, 3,786 in Rajasthan, 3,406 in UP, and 3,267 in MP, have been cured/discharged in India till May 24, 2020, morning. The number of patients cured/discharged increased by 2,657 during last 24 hours in the country.
The Coronavirus death too jumped to 3,867 in India at 8 am on May 24, 2020, with 147 new deaths being reported from different parts of the country during last 24 hours.
The Coronavirus death toll break-up is : Maharashtra (1,577), Gujarat (829), MP (281), West Bengal (269), Delhi (231), Rajasthan (160), UP (155), Tamilnadu (103), Andhra Pradesh (56), Telengana (49), Karnataka (42), Punjab (39), J&K (21), Haryana (16), Bihar (11), Odisha (7), Assam (4), Jharkhand (4), Kerala 94), Chandigarh (3), Himahal Pradesh (3), Uttarakhand (2), and Meghalaya (1). The number of Coronavirus active cases was 73,560 in India on May 24 morning.
