New Delhi : Altogether 54,157 COVID-19 patients were declared cured/discharged in India during last 24 hours taking the tally to 77,65,966 at 8 am on November 6, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases ( 5,20,773) by a huge margin of 72,45,193. The country, on the other hand, also recorded 47,638 new COVID-19 cases during last 24 hours taking the tally to 84,11,724 at 8 am on November 6, 2020. The active cases were 6.19 % of the total COVID-19 cases ( 84,11,724) recorded so far in the country, a drop of 7,189.
Of the 84,11,724 COVID-19 cases recorded so far, a total of 77,65,966 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 92.32%. The country has tested 11,54,29,095 samples so far including 12,20,711 samples on November 5, 2020, according to Union Health Ministry.
The COVID-19 toll jumped to 1,24,985 on November 6 with 670 new deaths being recorded in the country during last 24 hours including 256 from Maharashtra, 66 from Delhi, 54 from West Bengal, 44 from Chhattisgarh, 31 from Karnataka, 28 from Tamilnadu, 27 from Uttar Pradesh, 26 from Kerala, 23 from Haryana, 22 from Punjab, 14 from Odisha, 13 from Andhra Pradesh, 10 from Rajasthan, 8 from Bihar, 7 from Gujarat, and 5 from Madhya Pradesh. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.49% in the country on November 6, 2020. India had recorded 704 new deaths on November 5, 2020.
