New Delhi : A total of 53,920 COVID-19 patients were declared cured in India during last 24 hours taking the tally to 78,19,886 at 8 am on November 7, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases (5,16,632) by a huge margin of 73,03,254. The country, on the other hand, also recorded 50,356 new COVID-19 cases during last 24 hours taking the the tally of COVID-19 cases recorded till date to 84,62,080. The active cases were 6.11% of the total COVID-19 cases ( 84,62,080) recorded so far, a drop of 4,141 cases.

Of the 84,62,080 COVID-19 cases recorded till date, altogether 78,19,886 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 92.41%. The country has tested 11,65,42,304 samples so far including 11,13,209 samples on November 6, 2020.

The COVID-19 toll in India increased to 1,25,562 on November 7, 2020, with 577 new deaths being recorded in the country during last 24 hours including 161 from Maharashtra, 64 from Delhi, 55 from West Bengal, 52 from Chhattisgarh, 35 from Karnataka, 27 from Kerala, 27 from Tamilnadu, 24 from Uttar Pradesh, 21 from Haryana, 15 from Odisha, 14 from Punjab, 12 from Madhya Pradesh, 11 from Andhra Pradesh, 11 from Rajasthan, 9 from Uttarakhand, 8 from Bihar, 4 from Gujarat, and 1 from Jharkhand.  The Case Fatality Rate was 1.48% in the country on November 7, 2020. The country had recorded 670 new deaths on November 6, 2020.
