New Delhi : A total of 53,357 COVID-19 patients were declared cured/discharged in India during last 24 hours taking the tally to 76,56,478 at 8 am on November 4, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases (5,33,787) by a massive margin of 71,22,691. The country, on the other hand, also recorded 46,253 new COVID-19 cases during last 24 hours taking the tally of cases recorded till date to 83,13,876. The number of active cases was 6.42% of the total cases ( 83,13,876) in India on November 4, 2020.

Of the 83,13,876 cases so far in India, altogether 76,56,478 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 92.09%. The number of active cases dropped by 7,618 during last 24 hours. The country has tested 11,29,98,959 samples so far including 12,09,609 samples on October 3, 2020.

The COVID-19 toll increased to 1,23,611 on November 4, 2020, with 514 new deaths being reported from different places during last 24 hours including 120 from Maharashtra, 58 from Chhattisgarh, 56 from West Bengal, 48 from Delhi, 31 from Tamilnadu, 26 from Karnataka, 26 from Kerala, 15 from Andhra Pradesh, 13 from Uttar Pradesh, 12 from J&K, 12 from Odisha, 10 from Rajasthan, 9 from Madhya Pradesh, 7 from Haryana, 7 from Bihar,  6 from Gujarat, and 5 from Jharkhand. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.49% in the country on November 4, 2020.

COVID-19 death toll in India on November 4, 2020, is : Maharashtra (44,248), Tamilnadu (11,214), Karnataka (11,247), Delhi (6,652), Andhra Pradesh (6,734), Uttar Pradesh (7,089), West Bengal (7,013), Gujarat (3,731), Madhya Pradesh (2,974), Rajasthan (1,936),  Punjab (4,245), Telengana (1,357), J&K (1,502), Haryana (1,817), Bihar (1,108), Odisha (1,352), Jharkhand (891), Assam (934), Uttarakhand (1,033), Kerala (1,559),  Chhattisgarh (2,266), Puducherry (596), Goa (618), Tripura (353), Chandigarh (228),  Andaman & Nicobar (60), Himachal Pradesh (344), Ladakh (76), Manipur (184), Nagaland (42), Meghalaya (90), Arunachal Pradesh (42), Sikkim (73), and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (2 ).
