New Delhi : A total of 53,285 COVID-19 patients were declared cured in India during last 24 hours to take the tally to 75,44,798 at 8 am on November 2, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases (5,61,908) by a huge margin of 69,82,890. The country, on the other hand, also recorded 45,231 new COVID-19 cases during last 24 hours taking the tally of confirmed cases recorded so far to 82,29,313. The number of active cases on November 2, 2020, was 6.83% of the total confirmed cases recorded till date in the country.

Of the 82,29,313 COVID-19 cases recorded till date, altogether 75,44,798 patients have already been declared cured with the recovery rate being 91.68%. The country has tested 11,07,43,103 samples so far including 8,55,800 samples on November 1, 2020.

The COVID-19 climbed to 1,22,607 on November 2, 2020, with 496 new deaths being reported from different places across the country during last 24 hours including 113 from Maharashtra, 59 from West Bengal, 51 from Delhi, 49 from Chhattisgarh, 30 from Tamilnadu, 28 from Kerala, 26 from Uttar Pradesh, 24 from Karnataka, 16 from Andhra Pradesh, 11 from Punjab, 11 from Odisha, 10 from Rajasthan, 7 from Madhya Pradesh, 7 from Bihar, 6 from Haryana, and 5 from Gujarat. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.49% in the country on November 2, 2020.
