New Delhi : A total of 52,718 COVID-19 patients were declared cured/discharged in India during last 24 hours taking the tally to 80,66,501 in the country at 8 am on November 12, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases (4,89,294) by a massive margin of 75,77,207. The country, however, also recorded 47,905 new COVID-19 cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally of cases recorded so far to 86,83,916. The number of active cases was 5.83% of the total cases recorded so far (86,83,916) on November 12, 2020, a drop of 5,363 cases during last 24 hours.

Of the 86,83,916 COVID-19 cases recorded till date in the country, altogether 80,66,501 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 92.89%. India has tested 12,19,62,509 samples so far including 11,93,358 samples on November 11, 2020.

The COVID-19 increased to 1,28,121 on November 12, 2020, with 550 new deaths being recorded in the country during last 24 hours including 125 from Maharashtra, 85 from Delhi, 49 from West Bengal, 29 from Kerala, 31 from Punjab, 28 from Tamilnadu, 25 from Chhattisgarh, 25 from Haryana, 23 from Karnataka, 20 from Uttar Pradesh, 15 from Odisha, 14 from Andhra Pradesh, 13 from Madhya Pradesh, 11 from Rajasthan,9 from Himachal Pradesh,  6 from Gujarat, 6 from Bihar, 6 from Uttarakhand, and 3 from Jharkhand. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.48% in the country on November 12, 2020. India had recorded 512 new deaths the previous day.
