Ara : Villagers pelted police personnel with stones at Ibrahimnagar village under Ara Town police station(PS) on June 1, 2021, evening, when police went there to arrest one Kamlesh Yadav, son of Heera Lal Yadav, in connection with murder of Manager of a Brick Kiln located in Dhanupura locality under Ara Muffassil PS Mantosh Kumar Singh, son of Ganga Prasad of village Paharpur under Ara Muffasil PS, on May 30, 2021, night. Police had to fire in the air to disperse the unruly mob of villagers.
Five police personnel including two lady constables were injured in attack by the villagers. They were identified as Nusarat Darkhshah, Madhu Kumari, Binda Ram, Vivek Ranjan Nishad, and Sudhanshu Kumar. They were admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital.
Police arrested Kamlesh Yadav with a countrymade pistol, two live cartridges, and a mobile phone, in connection the murder of Mantosh Kumar Singh, and also two women for attack on police force. An FIR was lodged with Ara town police station against three named and four unnamed persons for attacking police force on the statement of an SI Sushant Kumar.
Bhojpur SP Rakesh Kumar Dubey said that some armed miscreants had shot dead Mantosh Kumar Singh under Ara Muffassil PS when he was sleeping at a Brick kiln at Dhanupura under Ara town police station where he worked as Manager. Police had arrested Dhanlal Yadav two days ago and on his revelation during interrogation, police conducted raid at brahimnagar village and arrested Kamlesh Yadav, son of Heera Lal Yadav, along with a countrymade pistol, two live cartridges, and a mobile phone When police returning, the villagers attacked police force and pelted them with stones to set Kamlesh Yadav free. Five police personnel including two lady constables were injured in stone pelting. The SP said that police are conducting raids to arrest other named accused.
