Patna : Five male shuttlers of India have been ranked among the top 25 players in the latest Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings released on October 26, 2017, with Kidambi Srikanth, 24, jumping to fourth position after winning the Denmark Open Super Series Premier tournament recently.

Srikanth has won Indonesia, Australia and Denmak Super Series Badminton tournaments in 2017. Viktor Axelsen, Denmark, remains World Number 1 followed by Son Wan Ho, S Korea, and Lin Dan, China, at number 2 and number 3 respectively.

H S Pranoy, India, has jumped two spots and is ranked 12th while Sai Praneeth B, India, is ranked 15th. Sameer Verma, India, is ranked 18th while Ajay Jairam, India, is ranked 23rd in the WBF ranking. Sourabh Verma and Parupalli Kashyap, both of India, are ranked 41st and 47th respectively.
