New Delhi : Altogether 49,715 Covid-19 patients were declared cured/discharged in India during last 24 hours taking the tally to 84,78,124 in the country at 8 am on November 21, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases (4,39,747) by a huge margin of 80,38,377. The country, however, also recorded 46,232 new Covid-19 cases during last 24 hours taking the tally of cases recorded so far to 90,50,597 on November 21, 2020.

Of the 90,50,597 Covid-19 cases recorded till date in the country, a total of 84,78,124 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 93.67%. India has tested 13,06,57,808 samples so far including 10,66,022 samples on November 20, 2020. The number of active cases was 4.86% of the total Covid-19 cases recorded so far in the country on November 21, a drop of 4,047 cases during last 24 hours.

The Covid-19 toll jumped to 1,32,726 in the country on November 21, 2020, with 564 new deaths being recorded during last 24 hours including 155 from Maharashtra, 118 from Delhi, 50 from West Bengal, 28 from Kerala, 25 from Haryana, 20 from Uttar Pradesh, 19 from Chhattisgarh, 18 from Tamilnadu, 17 from Karnataka, 16 from Punjab, 16 from Odisha, 14 from Rajasthan, 12 from Himachal Pradesh, 10 from Andhra Pradesh, 9 from Madhya Pradesh, 7 from Gujarat, 3 from Bihar, and 2 from Jharkhand. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.47% in the country on November 21, 2020. India had recorded 584 new deaths on November 20, 2020.
