New Delhi : Altogether 48,493 COVID-19 patients were declared cured/discharged in India during last 24 hours taking the tally to 83,83,602 at 8 am on November 19, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases (4,43,303) by a gigantic margin of 79,40,299.
The country, however, also recorded 45,576 new COVID-19 cases during last 24 hours taking the tally of cases recorded so far in the country to 89,58,483 on November 19. India had recorded 38,617 new COVID-19 cases on November 18, 2020. The number of active cases was 4.95% of the total cases ( 89,58,483) on November 19, 2020, a drop of 3,502 cases.
Of the 89,58,483 COVID-19 cases recorded till date in the country, a total of 83,83,602 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 93.58%. India has tested 12,85,08,389 samples so far including 10,28,203 samples on November 18, 2020.
The COVID-19 toll jumped to 1,31,578 on November 19, 2020, with 585 new deaths being recorded in the country during last 24 hours including 131 from Delhi, 100 from Maharashtra, 54 from West Bengal, 31 from Punjab, 30 from Haryana, 29 from Uttar Pradesh, 28 from Kerala, 23 from Chhattisgarh, 21 from Karnataka, 18 from Tamilnadu, 15 from Odisha, 13 from Himachal Pradesh, 13 from Madhya Pradesh, 12 from Rajasthan, 9 from Andhra Pradesh, 8 from Gujarat, 7 from Bihar, and 3 from Jharkhand. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.47% in the country on November 19, 2020. India had recorded 474 new deaths on November 18, 2020.
