New Delhi : A total of 48,405 COVID-19 patients patients were declared cured/discharged in India during last 24 hours taking the tally to 79,17,373 at 8 am on November 9, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases by a massive margin of 74,07,700. The country also recorded 45,903 during last 24 hours taking the tally of cases recorded so far to 85,53,657 on November 9, 2020. The number of active cases was 5.96% of the total cases ( 85,53,657) on November 9, 2020, a drop of 2,992 cases.
Of the 85,53,657 Covid-19 cases recorded so far, altogether 79,17,373 patients have been declared cured till date with the recovery rate being 92.56%. India has tested 11,85,72,192 samples so far including 8,35,401 samples on November 8, 2020.
The COVID-19 toll jumped to 1,26,611 in India on November 9, 2020, with 490 new deaths being reported during last 24 hours including 125 from Maharashtra, 77 from Delhi, 59 from West Bengal, 26 from Uttar Pradesh, 24 from Kerala, 22 from Karnataka, 20 from Tamilnadu, 15 from Haryana, 15 from Odisha, 13 from Chhattisgarh, 12 from Andhra Pradesh, 11 from Madhya Pradesh, 10 from Rajasthan, 8 from Punjab, 8 from Bihar, and 6 from Himachal Pradesh. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.48% in the country on November 9, 2020. India had recorded 559 new deaths the previous day.
