New Delhi : A total of 47,992 COVID-19 patients were declared cured/discharged in India during last 24 hours taking the tally to 81,63,572 at 8 am on November 14, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases (4,80,719) by a stupendous margin of 76,82,853. The country, however, also recorded 44,684 new COVID-19 cases during last 24 hours taking the tally of cases recorded so far to 87,73,479 on November 14, 2020. The active cases were 5.48% of the total COVID-19 cases recorded till date in the country, a drop of 3,828 cases during last 24 hours.
Of the 87,73,479 COVID-19 cases recorded so far in the country, altogether 81,63,572 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 93.05%. The country has tested 12,40,31, 230 samples so far including 9,29,491 samples on November 13, 2020.
The COVID-19 toll increased to 1,29,188 in India on November 14, 2020, as 520 new deaths were recorded during last 24 hours including 127 from Maharashtra, 91 from Delhi, 51 from West Bengal, 27 from Haryana, 26 from Kerala, 25 from Uttar Pradesh, 18 from Chhattisgarh, 17 from Karnataka, 16 from Punjab, 14 from Tamilnadu, 12 from Himachal Pradesh, 12 from Odisha, 12 from Rajasthan, 11 from Madhya Pradesh, 10 from Andhra Pradesh, 8 from J&K, 7 from Bihar, 6 from Gujarat, and 4 from Jharkhand. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.47% in the country on November 14, 2020. India had recorded 547 new deaths the previous day.
