46 police officials of 10 N Bihar districts felicitated in Vaishali

Hajipur :  Fortysix police officials of ten districts of North Bihar were felicitated on April 9, 2017, at village Baligaon in Vaishali district at a function organised to mark the martyrdom day of Inspector Pashupatinath Singh, who was seriously injured while fighting around a dozen dacoits on April 8, 1959, midnight, at Baligaon and died on April 9, 1959.

Vaishali DM Rachna Patil and SP Rakesh Kumar honoured the 46 police officials with medals and citation. This function is held every year on April 9 since 1960 at Baligaon under Baligaon police station.The function was started by the then Baligaon Mukhia Bihari Prasad Singh. Pashupatinath was also given gallantry award by the Government of India.
