New Delhi : The spike in daily new Covid-19 cases tinues in India at an alarming rate as a total of 43,846 new cases were recorded in the country in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,15,99,130 cases at 8 am on March 21, 2021. On the other hand, a total of 22,956 Covid-19 patients were declared cured/ discharged in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,11,30,288 on March 21, 2021.
The active cases ( 3,09,087) on March 21, 2021, accounted for 2.66% of the total cases (1,15,99,130), an increase of 20,693 cases in last 24 hours. India has tested 23,35,65,119 samples so far including 11,33,602 samples on March 20, 2021. Meanwhile, 4,46,03,841 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in India so far including 25,40,449 beneficiaries on March 20, 2021. The recovery rate (RR) of Covid-19 cases dropped to 95.96% on March 21, 2021.
The Covid-19 toll surged to 1,59,755 in India on March 21, 2021, with 197 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours including 122 in Maharashtra, 38 in Punjab, 15 in Kerala, 11 in Chhattisgarh, 8 in Tamilnadu, 7 in Karnataka, 6 in Gujarat, 3 in Haryana, 3 in Telengana, 2 in Madhya Pradesh, 2 in Andhra Pradesh, 2 in West Bengal, 2 in Delhi, 1 in Uttar Pradesh, and 1 in Bihar. India had recorded 188 new deaths on March 20, 2021.
