Patna: Bihar governor Ram Nath Kovind on Saturday said there is no substitute to hard works, strong willpower and dedication to achieve one’s objective in life. Addressing the convocation function of Patna University (PU) at S K Memorial Hall here, the governor said no goal is small.

The state universities are yet to have properly developed infrastructure but despite lack of resources they are honing talents, he said. The governor said that out of the 42 students who received gold medals at the convocation, the number of girls is 29 indicating the talents they possess. He also lauded the olympic medal winners: P V Sindhu and Sakshi Malik, in this regard.

Maharshtra governor C Vidyasagar Rao said Bihar is land of knowledge. He, however, said it is matter of concern that only two Indian varsities figure in the top two hundred institutions of higher education in the world. PU VC Y C Simhadri highlighted the achievements of the university.
