New Delhi :  The number of Covid-19 patients being declared cured/discharged during last 24 hours again putpaced the new additions during last 24 hours. A total of 42,314 Covid-19 patients were declared cured during last 24 hours taking the tally to 86,04,955 at 8 am on November 24, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases (4,38,667) by a stupendous margin of 81,66,288.India, on the other hand, recorded 37,975 new Covid-19 cases during last 24 hours taking the tally to 91,77,840 on November 24, 2020.

Of the 91,77,840 Covid-19 cases recorded till date in the country, altogether 86,04,955 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 93.76%. The number of active cases in the country was 4.78% of the total Covid-19 cases recorded so far, a drop of 4,819 cases. India has tested 13,36,82,275 samples till date including 10,99,545 samples on November 23, 2020.

The Covid-19 toll increased to 1,34,218 in the country on November 24, 2020, with 480 new deaths being recorded during last 24 hours including 121 from Delhi, 47 from West Bengal, 30 from Maharashtra, 28 from Haryana, 24 from Karnataka, 23 from Himachal Pradesh, 23 from Uttar Pradesh, 22 from Kerala, 18 from Rajasthan, 17 from Tamilnadu, 17 from Odisha, 17 from Punjab, 17 from Gujarat,  14 from Chhattisgarh, 12 from J&K, 10 from Andhra Pradesh, 10 from Madhya Pradesh, and 6 from Bihar. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.46% in the country on November 24, 2020. India had recorded 511 new deaths on November 23, 2020.
