New Delhi : Altogether 42,298 Covid-19 patients were declared cured/discharged in India during last 24 hours taking the tally to 88,02,267 at 8 am on November 29, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases (4,53,956) by a stupendous margin of 83,48,311. The country, on the other hand, also recorded 41,810 new Covid-19 cases during last 24 hours taking the tally to 93,92,919 cases recorded so far.
Of the 93,92,919 Covid-19 cases recorded till date in the country, a total of 88,02,267 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 93.71%. The number of active cases was 4.83% of the total cases on November 29, 2020. India has tested 13,95,03,803 samples so far including 12,83,449 samples on November 28, 2020.
The Covid-19 toll climbed to 1,36,696 on November 29, 2020, with 496 new deaths being recorded in the country during last 24 hours including 89 from Delhi, 88 from Maharashtra, 52 from West Bengal, 30 from Haryana, 28 from Punjab, 25 from Kerala, 21 from Uttar Pradesh, 19 from Rajasthan, 17 from Chhattisgarh, 15 from Gujarat, 13 from Tamilnadu, 13 from Madhya Pradesh, 13 vrom Uttarakhand, 12 from Karnataka, 12 from Odisha, 11 from Himachal Pradesh, 7 from Manipur, 5 from Andhra Pradesh, 5 from Bihar, and 1 from Jharkhand. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.46% in the country on November 29, 2020. India had recorded 485 new deaths on November 28, 2020.
