New Delhi : A total of 42,156 COVID-19 patients were declared cured/discharged in India during last 24 hours taking the tally to 82,05,728 at 8 am on November 15, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases ( 4,79,216) by a colossal 77,26,512. The country, however, also recorded 41,100 new COVID-19 cases during last 24 hours taking the tally of cases recorded so far to 88,14,579. The number of active cases was 5.44% of the total cases( 88,14,579) recorded so far on November 15, 2020, a drop of 1,503 cases.
Of the 88,14,579 COVID-19 cases recorded so far, altogether 82,05,728 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 93.09%. The country has tested 12,48,36,819 samples till date including 8,05,589 samples on November 14, 2020.
The COVID-19 toll increased to 1,29,635 on November 15, 2020, with 447 new deaths being recorded in the country during last 24 hours including 105 from Maharashtra, 96 from Delhi, 53 from West Bengal, 27 from Uttar Pradesh, 17 from Karnataka, 17 from Chhattisgarh, 15 from Odisha, 12 from Tamilnadu, 12 from Rajasthan, 8 from Himachal Pradesh, 7 from Andhra Pradesh,7 from Madhya Pradesh, 6 from Gujarat, 6 from J&K, 5 from Haryana, and 5 from Bihar. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.47% in the country on November 15, 2020. India had recorded 520 new deaths the previous day.
