Patna : Altogether 40,726 Covid-19 patients were declared cured/discharged in India during last 24 hours taking the tally to 89,73,373 in the country at 8 am on December 3, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases (4,22,943) by a huge margin of 85,50,430. The country, on the other hand, also recorded 35,551 new Covid-19 cases during last 24 hours taking the tally to 95,34,964 on December 3, 2020.

Of the 95,34,964 Covid-19 cases recorded till date in India, a total of 89,73,373 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 94.11%. The number of active cases was 4.44% of the total cases on December 3, 2020, a drop of 5,701 cases during last 24 hours. India has tested 14,35,57,647 samples so far including 11,11,698 samples on December 2, 2020.

The Covid-19 toll climbed to 1,38,648 in the country on December 3, 2020, with 526 new deaths being recorded during last 24 hours including 111 from Maharashtra, 82 from Delhi, 51 from West Bengal, 32 from Haryana, 29 from Uttar Pradesh,  28 from Kerala, 27 from Chhattisgarh, 21 from Punjab, 19 from Rajasthan, 17 from Madhya Pradesh, 16 from Karnataka, 14 from Gujarat, 13 from Uttarakhand, 11 from Tamilnadu, 11 from Himachal Pradesh, 7 from Andhra Pradesh, 6 vrom Odisha, 6 from Bihar, 2 from Manipur, and 2 from Jharkhand.  The Case Fatality Rate was 1.45% in the country on December 3, 2020.  India had recorded 501 new deaths on December 2, 2020.
