40 school students selected for 1 yr scholarship under Deen Dayal Sparsh Yojna

Patna : The Department of Post, Bihar Circle, has selected 40 school students from Bihar for one year scholarship under Deen Dayal Sparsh Yojna on the basis of their performance in Philately Quiz Contest. All of them would get a monthly scholarship of Rs 500 for one year.

According to a press release issued by Assistant Director (BD), office of CPMG, Bihar Circle, Patna, here on October 30, 2018, altogether 8,164 school students participated in the first round of Philately Quiz Contest of which 200 students were selected for the second round of Philately Project Contest. The participants of the second round had submitted their respective Philately project to the office of Chief Post Master General (CPMG) which was evaluated by a committee constituted by the department. The committee selected 40 school students for the scholarship.

Manoj Kumar, Postal Director ( headquarters), said the growing interests of the students in Philately is quite encouraging.
