Patna : Covid-19 cases rose to 2,62,706 in Bihar on March 5, 2021, afternoon, as 38 more persons including 15 from Patna, 4 from Madhubani, 3 each from Darbhanga and Samastipur, and 2 each from Bhagalpur, Katihar, and Muzaffarpur, tested positive for the pandemic on March 4, 2021.
The active cases dropped to 340 in Bihar on March 5, 2021, from 347 on March 4, 2021. Bihar has tested 2,25,94,432 samples so far including 35,416 samples on March 4, 2021. Of the 2,62,706 Covid-19 recorded so far in Bihar, altogether 2,60,821 patients have been declared cured including 44 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) being 99.28%.
The Covid-19 toll increased to 1,544 in Bihar on March 5, 2021, as with 1 new deathbeing recorded in Jehanabad in last 24 hours. With it, the toll increased to 26 in Jehanabad on March 5, 2021.
