New Delhi : The exponential increase in the number of COVID-19 patients getting cured continues in India reaching 10,57,805, an increase of 37,223 during last 24 hours, exceeding the number of active cases by 5,12,487. The numbers of active cases in the country stands at 5,45,318.
On the negative side, the Coronavirus death toll jumped to 35,747 at 8 am on July 31, 2020, with 779 new deaths being reported from different parts of the country including 266 from Maharashtra, 83 from Karnataka, 68 from Andhra Pradesh, 57 from UP, 46 from West Bengal, 29 from Delhi, and 22 from Gujarat. The COVID-19 death toll has reached hundred mark in Jharkhand climbing to 103 on July 31, 2020.
The Coronavirus death toll break-up in India is : Maharashtra (14,729), Delhi (3,936), Tamilnadu (3,838), Gujarat (2,418), Karnataka (2,230), Uttar Pradesh (1,587), West Bengal (1,536), Andhra Pradesh ( 1,281), Madhya Pradesh (857), Rajasthan (663), Telengana (505), Haryana (417), Punjab (370), J&K (365), Bihar (282), Odisha (169), Jharkhand (103), Assam (94), Uttarakhand (76), Kerala (70), Chhattisgarh (51), Puducherry (48), Goa (42), Tripura (21), Himachal Pradesh (14), Chandigarh (14), Ladakh (7), Meghalaya (5), Nagaland (5), Andaman & Nicobar( 4), Arunachal Pradesh (3), Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu( 2), and Sikkim (1).
As far COVID patients getting cured goes, in Maharashtra 2,48,615 patients have been cured till date followed by 1,78,178 in Tamilnadu, 1,19,724 in Delhi, 60,024 in Andhra Pradesh, 46,803 in UP, 46,694 in Karnataka, 46,256 in West Bengal, 29,080 in Assam, and 27,340 in Haryana.
