Patna : About 37.71% voters had exercised their franchise till 1 pm in the five parliamentary constituencies (PCs) of Bihar : Darbhanga, Ujiyarpur, Samastipur (SC), Begusarai, and Munger, that went to polls in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections on April 29, 2019. Altogether 66 candidates including 20 Independents and 3 women are in fray for these 5 Lok Sabha seats.
There are 87,02,313 voters in these 5 PCs of which 46,35,071 are males, 40,67,009 females, and 233 third gender voters. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has set up 8,834 Polling stations in these 5 PCs for the smooth conduct of Polls in the state, according to a PIB release. Altogether 19 candidates are in fray for the Munger seats while 10 candidates are in contest in Begusarai PC and 11 in Samastipur. Eighteen candidates are in fray in Ujiyarpur PC while 8 candidates are in race for Darbhanga seat.
