New Delhi : The exponential increase in the number of Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients getting cured continues in India reaching 3,47,978 at 8 am on July 1, 2020, an increase of 13,157 during last 24 hours, exceeding the number of active cases by 1,27,864. The number of active cases stands at 2,20,114 in the country.
On the negative side, Coronavirus death toll has surged to 17,400 with 507 new deaths being reported during last 24 hours including 245 from Maharashtra, 62 from Delhi, 60 from Tamilnadu, 25 from Uttar Pradesh, 20 from Karnataka, 19 from Gujarat, and 15 from West Bengal. The death toll has crossed one hundred mark in J&K.
As far COVID-19 patients getting cured goes, a total of 90,911 patients have been declared cured in Maharashtra, followed by 58,348 in Delhi, 50,074 in Tamilnadu, 23,662 in Gujarat, 16,084 in UP, 14,220 in Rajasthan, 12,130 in West Bengal, 10,395 in Madhya Pradesh, 9,972 in Haryana, 7,918 in Karnataka, 7,687 in Bihar, 7,294 in Telengana, 6,511 in Andhra Pradesh, 5,647 in Assam, 5,189 in Odisha, 4,722 in J&K, and 3,867 in Punjab.
