Ara : Human Chain was formed on 314 km long route under 14 blocks in Bhojpur district to create awareness about prohibition of liquor on January 21 with 0ver six lakh people participating in it enthusiastically.

School children in their uniform along with teachers holding placards and banner in their hands lined up in a row in disciplined manner and raised slogans in favour of prohibition. Besides school children, officials, bank employees, coaching centre owners, doctors, religious persons, headmasters of different government and private schools, PDS dealers, NGOs, Aaganwadi Sahayikas, Sevikas, Jeevika Didis, NCC, Scout and Guides, members of NSS,  social organizations and advocates also formed the human chain. Bhojpur DM Birendra Prasad Yadav, SP Kshatranil Singh and other senior officials were seen regulating the Human Chain at different places.

Human Chain was formed on 60 km main route and 254 km sub-routes earmarked for the purpose. At least 1,600 co-ordintors, 315 sector magistrates, doctors with ANMs equipped with First Aid Boxes wearing green aprons were deputed at every kilometre. The district administration made separate traffic arrangements in the town. The district administration had asked officials not to leave their place of deputation till all the people including school children returned home after forming the chain.

The DM thanked people of Bhojpur district for their cooperation in forming the Human Chain and their enthusiasm in making the event a memorable one.
