Sasaram: Sasaram Nagar Parishad Madhyamik Shikshak Niyojan Ikai (unit) on August 26 suspended 30 teachers of Sri Shankar High School +2 at Takia in connection with thrashing of the District Education Officer (DEO), Rohtas, during inspection of the school a week back. The suspended teachers were ordered to report at different centres. Police are also searching for them to arrest them in the same case.
DEO, Rohtas, Ashok Kumar Singh said that he got information that the Sri Shankar High School+2 had stopped classes before the schedule time on August 19, 2016. So he went there to inspect the matter. When he reached the school, 30 of 40 teachers were found absent. When he was inspecting, the 30 teachers suddenly attacked him and also damanged his vehicle.
Taking serious note of the incident, Rohtas District Magistrate ordered lodging of FIR against the teachers and also ordered the officials of the education department to take stern action against them. On the direction of the DM, the DEO lodged a named FIR against the 30 teachers with Model police station.
