Patna : Governor cum Chancellor of  State Universities Satya Pal Malik on March 24, 2018, constituted a three-member committee headed by Patna University (PU) Pro Vice- Chancellor (VC) Dolly Sinha to inquire into the complaints of lack of adequate number of toilets for women in Patna University, its departments and collges under it.

The other two members of the probe panel are : Vice-President of Patna University Teachers’ Association (PUTA) Shaifali Rai and Joint Secretary, PUTA, Amita Jaiswal, according to apress release issued by The Governor’s Secretariat.

The committee will inquire into the availability of toilets for women in each department and colleges under PU, every building of the university, their maintenance, buildings having no toilet at all, and employees deployed for their upkeep. It will also suggest the number of toilets they should have within a prescribed period in its report.
