3 injured in firing by miscreants at ‘Tilak’ ceremony in Bhojpur

Ara : Three persons including an SSB personnel were injured in firing by miscreants during a ‘Tilak’ ceremony at Danwar Bihta under Imadpur police station in Bhojpur district on July 5, 2018. The injured were admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital. The doctors later referred one of the injured Sabir Ahmad to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH in view of his serious condition.

SHO, Imadpur police station, said that marriage of  the daughter of Jitendra Singh, a resident of village Baktari in Arwal district, was settled with Ranjeet Kumar Singh, son of Jagannath Singh of village Danwar Bihata under Imadpur police station, and a ‘tilak’ had come from Baktari to Danwar Bihata in the morning on July 5. When the guests were having meal, five armed miscreants in drunken state reached there and started firing indiscriminately in which three persons including Kundan Kumar, an SSB personnel, were injured. Old enmity is said to be the cause behind the incident. An FIR was lodged with Imadpur police station but no arrest has so far been made in this connection.
