Ara : Some unidentified miscreants shot at and injured an assistant of a CSP centre at village Phulari under Sandesh police station (PS) in Bhojpur District on May 11, 2021, morning,  and also snatched about Rs 6 lakh cash from him and escaped. Police, however, denied cash loot and said that the incident raises suspicious.

The injured was admitted to a private nursing home at Ara and has been identified as Vikas Ojha, 22, son of Tarkeshwar Ojha of village Phulari. An FIR has been lodged with police in this connection and they investigating the matter.

Ritesh Kumar, owner of the CSP centre and friend of the injured, said that he and Vikas Ojha run a CSP centre at village Phulari and both had gone to the SBI at Sandesh to draw money from the bank on May 11, 20221, morning. Ritesh said that while returning from the bank, he got down from the motorcycle at CSP centre at Phulari and Vikas Ojha proceeded towards his home when three bike borne armed miscreants came and shot at him and escaped with about Rs 6 lakh cash.

On the other hand, police denied snatching of money and said that Vikas Ojha had quarrelled with some villagers after which he was shot at and injured.
