New Delhi : India’s Daily Recoveries continued to outnumber the Daily New Covid-19 Cases for the 13th consecutive day on May 26, 2021. .A total of 2,95,955 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in the country in last 24 hours to 2,43,50,816 on May 26, 2021. On the other hand, India recorded a total of 2,08,921 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours atking the tally to 2,71,57,795 on May 26, 2021. The recovery rate (RR) of Covid-19 patients was 89.66% in the country on May 26 from 89.26% on May 25, 2021.

Active cases further dropped to 24,95,591 in the country on May 26, 2021, down from 25,86,782 the previous day, a massive drop of 91,191 cases in last 24 hours. India has tested 33,48,11,496 samples so far including 22,17,320 samples on May 25, 2021. On the other hand, a total of 20,06,62,456 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in the country so far including 20,39,087 beneficiaries on May 25, 2021, according to Union Helath Ministry figure

The Covid-19 death toll climbed to 3,11,388 in India on May 26, 2021, with 4,157 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours. The 4,157 new deaths included 1,137 in Maharashtra, 588 in Karnataka, 468 in Tamilnadu, 177 in Kerala, 174 in Punjab, 157 in Uttar Pradesh, 157 in West Bengal, 156 in Delhi, 128 in Haryana, 106 in Andhra Pradesh, 105 in Rajasthan, 104 in Bihar, 93 in Uttarakhand, 92 in Assam, 77 in Chhattisgarh, 68 in Madhya Pradesh, 60 in Himachal Pradesh, 53 in J&K, 44 in Gujarat, 39 in Goa, 20 in Jharkhand, 19 in Meghalaya, and 18 in Nagaland. India had recorded 3,511 new deaths on May 25, 2021. The case fatality rate rose to 1.15 % in the country on May 26, 2021.
