New Delhi : The exponential increase in the number of Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients getting cured continues in India reaching 7,82,606 at 8 am on July 23, 2020, an increase of 29,557 during last 24 hours, exceeding the number of active cases in the country by 3,56,439. The number of active cases stands at 4,26,167 in India.
On the negative side, Coronavirus death toll has jumped to 29,861 with 1,129 new deaths being reported from different parts of the country. Maharashtra accounts for 12,556 COVID deaths while Delhi has reported 3,719 deaths. Tamilnadu has reported 3,144 deaths and Karnataka 1,519 while UP has reported 1,263 deaths and West Bengal 1,221.
In Bihar, five doctors including Civil Surgeon, Samastipur, have died due to Corona. A BJP MLC from Darbhanga has also died due to Corona.
