Patna : The Covid-19 cases recorded in Bihar so far rose to 2,59,617 on January 22, 2021, afternoon, with 168 more persons including 65 from Patna, 13 from Araria, 11 from Arwal, 9 from Sitamarhi, and 8 each Begusarai and Gaya, and 6 from Bhagalpur testing positive for the pandemic on January 21, 2021.
Of the 2,59,617 Covid-17 cases recorded in Bihar, altogether 2,55,538 patients have been declared cured including 458 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) being 98.43 %. The number of active cases in Bihar was 2,606 on January 22, 2021. Bihar has so far tested 2,03,24,919 samples including 87,342 samples on January 21, 2021.
The Covid-19 toll jumped to 1,472 in Bihar on January 22, 2021, with 4 new deaths being in the state in last 24 hours including 2 in Bhojpur, and 1 each in Patna and Darbhanga. The toll increased to 406 in Patna on January 22, 2021.
