New Delhi : A total of 25,320 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,13,59,048 cases in the country at 8 am on March 14, 2021, far exceeding the recoveries. It is highest in 2021. In sharp contrast, only 16,637 Covid-19 patients were declared cured in last 24 hours in India taking the tally to 1,09,89,897 in the country on March 14, 2021. The new cases cases exceeded the recoveries by a big margin of 8,683 on March 14, 2021, assuming alarming proportion.
The active cases (2,10,544) accounted for 1.85% of the total Covid-19 cases (1,13,59,048) in India on March 14, 2021, an increase of 8,522 cases in last 24 hours. India has tested 22,67,03,641 samples so far including 8,64,368 samples on March 13, 2021. Meanwhile, a total of 2,97,38,409 persons have so far been vaccinated against Covid-19 in India including 15,19,952 beneficiaries on March 13, 2021. The recovery rate (RR) of Covid-19 patients was 96.75% in India on March 14, 2021.
The Covid-19 toll jumped to 1,58,607 in India in last 24 hours with 161 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours including 88 in Maharashtra, 22 in Punjab, 12 in Kerala, 6 in Chhattisgarh, 4 in Haryana, 4 in Tamilnadu, 3 in Delhi, 3 in J&K, 2 in Gujarat, 2 in Uttar Pradesh, 2 in Uttarakhand, 2 in Andhra Pradesh, 2 in Madhya Pradesh, 1 in Karnataka, 1 in Bihar, and 1 in West Bengal. India had recorded 140 new deaths on March 13, 2021.
