25 DPS Bokaro students qualify for state level Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan 2018

Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : In an exceptional performance, 25 students of DPS Bokaro have qualified for the state level Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) 2018, a national programme for educating and popularising science. Altogether 129 students from different schools of Jharkhand have qualified for the state level VVM of which 25 are from DPS, Bokaro.

The DPS boys who qualified for the state level examination for VVM are: Rupesh Kumar, Aditya Kumar, Agrima Prasad, Aditya Ratna Jha, Aryan Kumar, Rishima Chandra, Swapnil Snigdh, Amandeep Prakash, Ojus Lohani, Yash Sinha, Trisha Singh, Abhishek Roy, Anshuman, Tamanna Ray, Bhavya Singh, Tanishq Tamkoria, Abhinav Singh, Amitayush, Advay Kumar, Khushi Bharti, Aditi Shikha, Anshu Priya, Deepanshu Kumar, Harshit Mania, and Arunod Kushagra. The state level examination will be held in January 2019 and those qualifying for the state will make it to the National VVM.

Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) is a national programme jointly organized by Vijnana Bharati, NCERT, and Vigyan Prasar, with the objective to identify keen knowledge seekers in Science and then nurture them for higher level of science education. The VVM examination included Written Test, Observational Analysis of Video Clips, Situation Problem Solving, and Hands on Activities.

Dr Hemlata S Mohan, Director and Principal of DPS Bokaro, expressed her happiness over the success of her students and urged for more participation by the students in activities that invoke and promote scientific temperament.
