Patna : The Covid-19 recorded in Bihar so far rose to 2,55,474 on January 7, 2021, afternoon, as 377 more persons including 147 from Patna, 31 from Begusarai, 26 from Muzaffarpur, and 15 from Nalanda, tested positive to the pandemic on January 6, 2021.

According to State Health Department figure, 13 persons each from Darbhanga and Saran, 12 from Kaimur, 11 from Gaya, 8 each from Kishanganj and Aurangabad, 7 each from Sitamarhi, Saharsa, and Bhojpur, 6 each from Banka, East Champaran, and Sheohar, 5 each from Samastipur, Purnia, Vaishali, and Rohtas, and 4 from Buxar, also tested positive to Covid-19 on January 6, 2021.

Of the 2,55,474 Covid-19 cases recorded in Bihar, a total of 2,49,943 patients have been declared cured including 423 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) being 97.84%. The number of active cases in Bihar was 4,106 on January 7, 2021. Bihar has tested 1,89,91,011 samples so far including 98,085 samples on January 6, 2021.

The Covid-19 toll increased to 1,424 in Bihar on January 7, 2021, with 4 new deaths being recorded in the state in last 24 hours including 3 in Patna and 1 in Saran. The toll jumped to 392 in Patna on January 7, 2021.
