Patna : Covid-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar rose to 2,54,278 on January 4, 2021, afternoon, as 344 more persons including 143 from Patna, 24 from Muzaffarpur, and 19 from Gopalganj, tested positive to the pandemic on January 3, 2021.

According to State Health Department figure, 16 persons each from Bhojpur and Saran, 10 each from Gaya and Vaishali, 9 from Begusarai, 8 each from Kaimur, Lakhisarai, Mdhubani, and Sitamarhi, 7 from Sheohar, 6 from Jehanabad,  5 each from Banka, and Khagaria, and 4 each from Darbhanga, Bhagalpur, and  Nalanda, also tested positive to Covid-19 on January 3, 2021.

Of the 2,54,278 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar, a total of 2,48,640 patients have been declared cured including 430 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 97.78%. Bihar has tested 1,87,02,664 samples so far including 81,859 samples on January 3, 2021. The number of active cases in Bihar 4,229 on January 4, 2021.

The Covid-19 toll climbed to 1,408 in Bihar on January 4,2021, with new deaths being recorded in the state in last 24 hours including 1 each from Patna, Nalanda, and Aurangabad. The toll increased to 382 in Bihar on January 4, 2021.
