Patna : The Covid-19 cases recorded in Bihar surged to 2,49,976 on December 25, 2020, afternoon, as 640 more persons including 273 from Patna, 48 from Muzaffarpur, 33 from Aurangabad, and 28 from Begusarai, tested positive to the pandemic on December 24, 2020.

According to State Health Department figure, 23 persons from Saran, 16 each from Sitamarhi and Kaimur, 14 from Nalanda, 13 from Vaishali, 12 from Rohtas, 11 from Siwan, 10 from Jehanabad, 9 each from Araria, Gaya, Katihar, Saharsa, and Lakhisarai, 8 each from Banka, East Champaran, Madhepura, Madhubani, Samastipur, and Supaul, 7 from Bhagalpur, 6 each from Bhojpur and Purnia, and 5 each from Darbhanga and Munger, also tested positive to Covid-19 on DEcember 24, 2020.

Of the 2,49,976 Covid-19 cases recorded in Bihar so far, altogether 2,43,255 patients have been declared cured including 489 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) being 97.31%. The number of active cases in Bihar was 5,347 on December 25, 2020. The state has tested 1,76,85,756 samples so far including 1,13,777 samples on December 24, 2020.

The Covid-19 toll increased to 1,373 in Bihar on December 25, 2020, with 2 new deaths, both in Patna, being recorded in the state in last 24 hours. The toll climbed to 369 in Patna on December 25, 2020.
