Patna : The Covid-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar rose to 2,46,645 on December 19, 2020, afternoon, as 712 more persons including 288 from Patna, 39 from Saran, 35 from Nawada, 30 from Muzaffarpur, 25 from Madhubani, and 24 from Jehanabad, tested positive to the pandemic on December 18, 2020.
According to State Health Department data, 22 persons from Bhagalpur, 19 from Purnia, 18 from Siwan, 16 from Gaya, 15 from Sitamarhi, 15 from Bhojpur, 13 from Gopalganj, 13 from Kishanganj,11 from West Champaran, 10 from Nalanda, 10 from Samastipur, and 9 from Rohtas, also tested positive to Covid-19 on December 19, 2020.
Of the 2,46,645 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar, a total of 2,40,331 patients have been declared cured including 793 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 97.44%. The number of active cases in Bihar was 4,966 on December 19, 2020. The state has tested 1,69,95,748 samples so far including 1,21,534 samples on December 18, 2020.
The Covid-19 c;limbed to 1,347 in Bihar on December 19, 2020, with 6 new deaths being recorded in the state in last 24 hours including 4 from Patna, and one each from Jehanabad and Rohtas. The toll jumped to 356 in Patna on December 19, 2020.
